I get a lot more people asking me these days what theta healing is all about. As a practitioner myself, I like to say that the long and short of it is that theta is a modality that is pretty similar to hypnosis. With theta we look into your belief systems with the idea that our unconscious mind tends to hold on to limiting belief that no longer work for us. When we were children some of these beliefs were introduced to us to protect us and to ensure that we grow well and secure. However, as adults, we find that certain beliefs in childhood are the very beliefs that tend to hold us back.
Very similar to hypnosis, this healing modality accesses a relaxed state - or what is known as the theta brain wave. Theta is the first stage of the dream phase also known as REM sleep. At Theta, the brain waves are slowed down at a frequency of 4-7 cycles per second. It is said that “theta brain waves can be considered the subconscious - they govern the part of our mind that lies between the conscious and the unconscious and retains memories and feelings. It also directs your beliefs and your behavior.”
Essentially, theta practitioners speak to your subconscious. And through healing, during a very relaxed state, a theta practitioner can influence your subconscious to adjust and release any and all limitations that have been keeping you from moving forward.
Do you have recurring issues that you can’t seem to shake? Do you seem to find yourself in the same relationship patterns? Or do you feel like somehow every vision board you have ever created has always manifested half baked? Then I would highly recommend seeing a theta practitioner to help you dig deep and clear the issues that seem to be occupying your subconscious.
